+A special work of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Sioux Falls District Council is operating a Thrift Store in northeastern SF. Plans are in place to build a second location on the corner of 41st Street and Ellis Road in 2023. Earnings from the store are used to directly assist those in need by helping to pay rent, utilities, food, clothing, household and transportation needs, prescriptions, and other necessities. Please prayerfully consider supporting this project which will provide job training and low-cost goods to residents in western Sioux Falls. Please send donations to:

+Fiesta Latina 2023: Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish will host a food sale and fiesta on Sunday, Sept. 24th from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Gym. The menu for the food sale includes Carne Asada, Pollo Asado (Grilled Chicken), Central American breakfast (eggs, fried bananas, and beans), Mexican tamales, corncobs, and refreshments of horchata, jamaica, and tamarindo with assorted desserts. There will also be a parish raffle to raise money for the parish. We have begun selling tickets, and we will also sell tickets during the event for $10 each. The prizes include $1,000 cash, $500 cash, a grill, $100 cash, and more.
+Expectant moms and young mothers are invited to attend the “Under Mary’s Mantle” meetings on topics of mothering during the early years. The next meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 26th at 9:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room at Holy Spirit Church Parish. Refreshments and snacks will be served and young children are welcome!
