Father Andrew Dickinson is the 4th pastor in the history of St. Katharine Drexel Parish. He was ordained a priest in 2006 by Bishop Samuel Aquila at the Cathedral of St. Joseph. Following his ordination, he was assigned as a parochial vicar at Holy Family Parish in Mitchell, SD, and then as parochial vicar at St. Mary Parish in Aberdeen, SD. In 2009, Fr. Andrew was appointed by Bishop Paul Swain as the director of Pius XII Newman Center serving SDSU in Brookings, SD. He served there until 2020 when he was made pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Aberdeen, SD. There Fr. Andrew ran a "prototype" of the "pastorate" model by pasting together Sacred Heart, St. Mary, Sacred Heart-Westport Parishes, and the St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center at NSU. In 2023, Fr. was assigned by Bishop DeGrood as pastor of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, St. Nicholas Parish (Tea), St. Magdalen Parish (Lennox), and St. Christina Parish (Parker).

Father Andrew was born in Yankton, SD, where his widowed mother still lives. His father passed away in 2006, shortly after his ordination. Fr. has one sibling, an older brother, who is married and lives with his family in Omaha, NE. Fr. Andrew is convinced that his brother is a better Catholic than he is, and you can't convince him otherwise.

Among Father Andrew's passions as a priest are: divine worship, evangelization and discipleship, Sacred Scripture, mission trips, and retreat work.

Among Father Andrew's personal passions are: cooking, eating, running, and music.

I grew up in Sioux Falls and attended Catholic school K-12. My home parish is Holy Spirit in Sioux Falls. I attended the University of South Dakota where I got a degree in Biology. I worked as a nurse aide for a year, then served two years with FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students). I entered the seminary in the Fall of 2016. I was ordained a priest in May of 2023. I served my first year in Yankton at both parishes before moving to this pastorate.

I have two stepbrothers and a sister. I enjoy reading, drawing, exercising, playing board games, camping, fishing, and hunting. The two main things I enjoy about being Catholic are Sacred Scripture and the Saints. I am not a cat person but I do like dogs, especially labs. I don’t have any food allergies and ice cream is one of my favorite foods. I have been blessed to travel to different parts of the world for vacations or for mission trips. Please invite me over for a cup of coffee, a meal, or a game of corn-hole.

I grew up just outside of Sioux Falls. I attended Christ the King Parish and School. I graduated from O'Gorman High School in 2009.

I attended the University of South Dakota for one year before entering seminary in St. Paul, MN. I was ordained a priest in 2017. Since then, I have served as the parochial vicar at Holy Spirit Parish, Sioux Falls, and Christ the King Parish, Sioux Falls. I have also served as the chaplain of O'Gorman Junior High and Christ the King Campus Ministry. Most recently, I was able to spend two years as pastor of St. Nicholas Parish, Tea, and St. Christina Parish, Parker.

I love being a Catholic priest! I am grateful to be a part of Pastorate 17.

I was born in Tuscola, IL, and have lived in 8 states, mostly in the Midwest.  My wife, Jane, and I have been married for 53 years and have been blessed with 4 children, 3 sons who live with their families on the West Coast, and 1 daughter who lives in Sioux Falls with her husband and 3 of our 8 grandchildren. My professional career has included time spent in the Air Force, clinical laboratory management, and financial services.

I was ordained to the permanent diaconate in 2009 to the Diocese of Superior (WI), moved to Sioux Falls in 2016, and was incardinated to the Diocese of Sioux Falls in 2019. Upon arrival in the diocese, I was assigned to Holy Spirit Parish in Sioux Falls as a deacon and served as Director of Stewardship. In 2022, I was assigned to St. Nicholas Parish in Tea and St. Christina Parish in Parker.

I love cooking different cuisines, especially Italian, working outside, and with my wife, spending time with our daughter and family in Sioux Falls. Two of my blessings as a deacon are to assist at the sacred liturgy and in service, to continue to grow in my understanding of God’s unconditional love.

Jennifer oversees the preparation of our liturgies; directs the Children's Choir, The Messengers ( jr. high/high school ensemble), and Adult Choir; works with cantors; helps engaged couples plan their wedding liturgies; registers new parishioners; and trains, coordinates and schedules our liturgical volunteers.

My family and I are charter members of St. Katharine Drexel Parish. My husband, David, and I have 4 children: Beth is married and attending grad school at SDSU; Bekah is attending the College of St. Mary in Omaha; Caleb is in 10th grade at O'GHS and Anna is in 8th grade at O'GJH. We enjoy going to our kids' sports activities and spending time as a family. I came to my position as Administrative Assistant with over 21 years of retail management experience. I coordinate our Parish Food and Diaper Pantry, our St. Vincent de Paul home visitors, and enjoy meeting and greeting all who visit our Parish Office.

I have been a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish since 2008 and enjoy my work as Director of Finance at our parish. My husband, Ben, and I have 3 daughters: Gracious, Mercy, and Divine. I am a graduate of the University of Sioux Falls with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, and of Southeast Technical Institute with an Associate's Degree in Accounting. It's exciting to be working for St. Katharine Drexel Parish and with all of our members as we continue our journey in faith together. Please don't hesitate to contact me at any time with questions about your parish support.

I grew up in Sioux Falls and was a parishioner at Holy Spirit. I was part of the first Kindergarten class and the first class to go K-6 at Holy Spirit Elementary. From there, I attended O'GJH and O'GHS. After high school, I attended Benedictine College in Atchison, KS, where I earned my undergraduate degrees in Theology and Evangelization and Catechesis. I am currently furthering my education online through Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH. I'm working toward my Master's in Theology. I have always had a great desire to share the love and joy of Catholic living with others because of the love and joy I have for it myself. I'm excited and honored to be here at St. Katharine Drexel Parish to grow in community with the parish and to be journeying with the parish's young people in their relationship with the Church and with Christ.

I grew up in and graduated from high school in Huron, then attended Northern State University where I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. I later returned to NSU and earned a Masters Degree in Education and Learning and a Masters Degree in School Administration.

For my first 12 years in education, I was active in the classroom environment. I taught 5th grade at Lincoln Elementary in Aberdeen for seven years. I also coached high school volleyball for Aberdeen Central HS during this time. After moving to Sioux Falls in 2010, I joined Bishop O'Gorman Catholic Schools, teaching 6th grade at Christ the King Elementary for two years and then at St. Michael Elementary for three years. My husband, Wade, is the principal at O'Gorman Junior High School and we have three children: Spencer, Tanner, and Brynnley.

As I head into my 9th year as principal at St. Katharine Drexel Elementary, I look forward to working with and getting to know all of the students and families. I am proud to be the principal of this school. St. Katharine Drexel Elementary is a great place for families! We have a community that shares a common belief in Christian values brought together for the common purpose of educating children in a Christ-filled environment.
