What's Happening

+August is our month to support the Sisters of Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (Red Sisters) at St. Joseph Cathedral. Please take a slip from the basket in the Gathering Space, buy the item(s), and return them to the tub marked “Donations for the Sisters of Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.” Please drop off any gift certificates or cash in the Parish Office by Wed., Aug. 31st so we can drop off your donations. Thank you for your generosity!

+Our parish is serving lunch at the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House on Thursday, Aug. 18th. Two volunteers are needed at 9 a.m. to prepare lunch and 5 volunteers are needed at 11 a.m. to serve lunch. +Our parish is serving supper at the St. Francis House on Friday, Aug. 19th. Four volunteers are needed from 5:45-7 p.m. to serve supper and 6 volunteers are needed to provide a dessert to be served with supper. +Our parish Men’s Group will meet Saturday, Aug. 20th from 7:30-9 a.m. in the Gathering Space. Come join us for coffee, donuts, prayer, and support for one another as we seek to serve God and each other. Please contact Deacon Denny at 605-261-7232 with any questions.

+Our Annual Parish Picnic is Sunday, August 21st, from 4:30-7 p.m. on our parish grounds. There will be great food, fun, fellowship, and (of course), Bingo! Please bring non-alcoholic drinks for your family, along with the following, based on the first letter of your last name: A-H: dessert for 12-15 people; I-Q: hot dish for 12-15 people; R-Z: salad for 12-15 people. Our parish will provide chicken, a few pizzas, and tableware. Come and join in the food, fun and fellowship! We’ll play Bingo after supper. Sponsored by the Parish Activities Committee.

.m+Our Knights of Columbus Council will host a French Toast Feast on Sunday, Aug. 28th in the MPR from 9 a.m.-12 pm. The menu features Texas Toast-style French toast with an assortment of great toppings, cheesy eggs, sausage patties, and potatoes. Your free-will offering will be used to help KC charitable causes.
