+“It’s Great to Be You” will be held Tuesday, Oct. 15th at St. Mary Parish at 6:15 p.m. “It’s Great to Be You” is a program for mothers & daughters and fathers & sons to come together in separate sessions to explore and discuss the beauty of God’s plan for us as male and female. +Helen Prejean, CSJ, is coming to the Jeschke Fine Arts Center on the USF campus on Friday, Oct. 18th at 7 p.m. She will speak about her latest book, River of Five. +Christ the King Parish Annual Roast Beef Dinner is Sunday, Oct. 20th from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Adults—$10, Children age 5-12—$6, Under age 5—free, Family—$35. 

+An End of Life Seminar will be given by the Diocese of Sioux Falls on Sunday, Oct. 20th at 4 p.m. at St. Therese Parish. Learn how to walk through the journey of your or a loved one’s last days here on earth, discuss home care, hospice, funerals, cremations, wills, power of attorney for healthcare—all items to discuss with your family no matter what age you are.

+Grieving a Loss During the Holidays: Directed by Dr. Marcie Moran, this non-denominational program is for adults who have lost loved ones and are grieving during the holiday season. The program is designed to be educational and will offer positive suggestions to help people with the adjustments that must be made during the holiday season. +Walking Rosary is held on the first Friday of every month at St. Michael Cemetery (rain or shine) beginning at 10 a.m. Please gather at the Chapel on the west side of the office. When the weather doesn't cooperate, we stay in the Chapel.

40 Days for Life 

This year’s 40 Days for Life Campaign is Wed., Sept. 25th-Sun., Nov. 3rd: Our parish will be taking Wednesday, Oct. 16th and Sunday, Oct. 27th from 7 a.m.- 7 p.m. to pray in front of Planned Parenthood (6511 W. 41st St.) Please sign up in the Gathering Space for a 30-minute time slot or if you’d rather register online or pray at a different time go to https://www.40daysforlife.com/local-campaigns/sioux-falls/


Our Spiritual Adoption Baby Shower will be the weekend of October 26th & 27th after each Mass. Thank you for your prayers for the unborn from all of those who participated this year! If you would like to bring a gift of diapers (size 5 is the greatest need) or baby wipes for our parish’s diaper ministry in honor of your spiritually adopted baby, it would be greatly appreciated! Also, any other types of baby gifts received will be given to a local charity in need. Thank you!   


 St. Katharine Drexel Parish serves supper at the St. Francis House (1301 E. Austin St.) on    the 3rd Friday evening of each month. Four people are needed to come at 5:30 p.m. to help make and serve supper and 3 people are needed to bake goodies for dessert. 



You are invited to join members of our parish at 3 p.m. on Fridays and Sundays in front of Planned Parenthood (6511 W. 41st Street) to pray for greater respect for all human life from conception to natural death. We pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Rosary and would love to have you join us.
